LifeSpan provides all clients with licensed teachers. Special Education Due Process is maintained throughout the transition for mental health intervention.

We do request that before your intake, you inform your school district of your intent to enroll your child in LifeSpan's Mental Health Day Treatment Program (YTP).

If your child is currently being served through Special Services (I.E.P.) or #504 Plan and you need help in providing this notice, your social worker, mental health worker, counselor, probation officer, school counselor or classroom teacher may be a good resource.

Academic Criteria

• LifeSpan works in conjunction with the home school district to meet each client's individual needs.
• Grades are reported each mod (3 week period). A copy is sent to the parent/guardian and home school district every 9 weeks which includes grades for each academic area and a behavioral progress report.
• Three (3) credits are given for therapeutic participation in the following areas:
  • Life Skills
  • Health and Relationships
  • Group Communication
• Clients with an I.E.P. will receive instruction based on I.E.P. stated goals.
• Curriculum is based on Individual client's skill level.
• Each licensed teacher works together with a teacher assistant to provide quality academic services.

Pre-Adolescent
